Check out the 10th Anniversary Exhibition at the REACH Museum, running from August 8 to October 12. This special exhibit takes you on a journey through the museum’s 10-year history, from its groundbreaking to its expansion. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the milestones and achievements that have shaped the REACH Museum. (Note: The museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays.)

Trail Ride on Red Mountain

Trail Ride on Red Mountain

Join the Trail Ride on Red Mountain from August 8 to August 11 for a scenic horseback tour through the stunning vineyards of Eastern Washington’s wine country. This guided 1-hour ride offers breathtaking views of the vineyards, valley, and surrounding hillsides, led by friendly and knowledgeable guides.

After your ride, relax at the farm by a firepit, explore the gardens, and meet the resident goats, who are eager to greet visitors and show off their goat milk soap and other goodies in the gift shop.

Rides are by reservation only and weather-dependent. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, rides may be rescheduled due to high winds, extreme temperatures, or poor air quality. As you cycle through the scenic landscape, you’ll learn about the wine-growing process and discover what makes Red Mountain AVA so special. The tour finishes at a charming ranch and winery, right in the heart of wine country.

Equivocation, a Play by Bill Cain

 

Don’t miss Equivocation, a play by Bill Cain, presented by The Rude Mechanicals and The Richland Players on August 10 at 7:30 PM. Set in England, 1605, Shakespeare is tasked by the Prime Minister to write a play about the Gunpowder Plot, but the Globe Theatre’s actors soon uncover that the official story may be a cover-up. The play takes you behind the scenes of the Globe Theatre, the Tower of London, and even into some of Shakespeare’s most famous works.

Please note, this production includes depictions of violence and is recommended for ages 14 and up.

In partnership with Tri-City Area Gaming (TAG), the library is hosting a fun-filled day of board games, card games, and more. You can borrow games from the mobile game library, join in tournaments, participate in short role-playing adventures, and enjoy vendor booths. There will also be door prizes, along with free snacks, food, and drinks provided by the Friends of the Library.
